Before you sell
your YouTube channel

What to prepare, how ownership changes, and when payment moves forward.

Your channel needs at least 5,000 subscribers. Prepare your channel URL, subscriber and video counts, screenshots, asking price, and average monthly revenue and net profit in USD. Use the same last three completed months for both financial figures.

When prompted, place a temporary code on the first non-empty line of your channel description. Scrowise checks for that code. This demonstrates access to edit the description; it does not verify revenue, legal ownership, or transfer eligibility.

Yes. Select 'Hide my channel name' and use a custom public title. The real channel name is shared when escrow starts. Screenshots and listing details can still identify your channel, so review them carefully.

Listing your channel is free. Escrow fees depend on your plan and deal details, and minimum fees apply. Check current pricing and agree whether you, the buyer, or both will pay the escrow fee.

If review is required, your listing stays private until approved. While it is pending approval, you can privately preview it, edit and resubmit it, or withdraw it to a draft. Complete any required verification before submitting.

Yes. Start an escrow directly without creating a marketplace listing. Agree the price, included assets, and handover requirements with your buyer during deal setup.

YouTube's ownership-transfer process uses Brand Account ownership roles. Giving someone an Owner role in YouTube Studio permissions does not transfer ownership. Check your channel's account setup and Google's requirements before agreeing the handover.

There is no guaranteed time to find a buyer. For a Brand Account handover, plan for the incoming owner to hold an Owner role for at least seven days before becoming Primary owner. Other transfer and payment steps can take longer.

No. Google does not permit transfers of AdSense for YouTube account ownership. To receive YouTube earnings, the buyer needs to link their own eligible account, subject to Google's requirements. Linked accounts can only be changed once every 32 days, and approval or association may take time.

Wait until Scrowise confirms funding in escrow, not just a payment receipt upload. Agree the included assets and completion requirements before granting access. Do not share your personal Google Account password.

Payout processing follows handover confirmation: the agent verifies completion on Pro; both parties confirm on Plus. Payment is not instant. Timing depends on payout processing and any issues raised; an open dispute pauses release while it is reviewed.
